The Teva Champs is the next step up from the Teva Series. The champs event is slightly longer with the navigation being slightly more challenging. ABOUT THE CHAMPS

The Champs event includes:

• Up to 15km of Trail running / Trekking
• Up to 35km of Mountain Biking
• A short paddle challenge
• A water leg
• 2-4 very special team adventure challenges
• An extended course for the fast & furious teams

PRIZES
Once again the Teva Champs offers a fantastic prize pool for the winners, including a $3,000 cash purse for the winners of the Premier Mixed Category, as well as being awarded the Lee Campbell Memorial Award Trophy currently held by Team Mountain Designs.

EQUIPMENT

As well as the usual team and individual equipment required for the Teva Series CLICK HERE TO VIEW EQUIPMENT LIST. Teams will require the following additional equipment:

• A large dry bag per person to protect equipment. You will be getting wet, so ensure your equipment is waterproof.
• A waterproof map case. You will be getting wet & muddy... don't let your map end up the same way!

SPECIAL EXTENDED COURSE FOR 2009!

In 2009 there will also be a special extended course for those fast and furious teams looking to push themselves on the day.

LOCATION & ACCOMMODATION
The Teva Champs will be held in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, just one hour north of Brisbane. This location provides some of the most beautiful mountain biking in South East Queensland. Race HQ has full facilities and will provide participants with some of the best challenges in a Teva event so far.

LEE CAMPBELL MEMORIAL AWARD
Those of you who participated in the Teva Adventure Series 2006 may have come in contact with the Teva Brand Manager Lee Campbell. Lee, at 6”2, with a stocky build and ever present grin was hard to miss. For those of you who were lucky enough to meet big Lee, you will agree that he was a man who had a passion for life and the people around him, wherever he was. This made it even harder for those close to him when we lost Lee suddenly and unexpectedly.

Lee was always on the spot to roll up his sleeves and get the work done, and had a great vision for what we call “The Teva Tribe." He was an integral part to making the 2006 series as successful as it was and creating a great foundation for taking the Teva experience national in 2007.

It was a great shock to us all when Lee passed and he is missed greatly by his friends, family and colleagues.

As a tribute to Lee and the passion he had for life, we will be presenting the Lee Campbell Memorial Trophy to the winners of Mixed Category in the Teva Champs Event. His spirit will live long in this event and in the hearts of those who knew him.
